$=\frac{11}{24}-\frac{3\times 3}{8\times 3}[\because LCM\text{of}8,24=24]$

$=\frac{11}{24}-\frac{9}{24}$

$=\frac{11-9}{24}$

$=\frac{2}{24}=\frac{1}{12}$

Hence the other rational number is $\frac{1}{12}.$
