And one of the numbers = $\frac{-3}{14}$

$\therefore$ The other rational number

= $\frac{-4}{7}$ - $\left(\frac{-3}{14}\right)$
LCM of 7 and 14 is 14

= $\frac{-4\times 2}{7\times 2}$ + ($\frac{3\times 1}{14\times 1}$ )

= $\frac{-8}{14}$ + ($\frac{3}{14}$ )

= $\frac{-8+3}{14}$

= $\frac{-5}{14}$
