Question

The sum of two triangles is 95° and their differences is 25°,find all three angles of a triangle.

Open in App
Solution

let two angles be x and y
by the problem,
x+y=95............(1)
x-y=25..............(2)
adding the equations we get,
x+y+x-y=95+25=140
2x=120
x=60.........(3)
putting the value of x in equation (2) we get,
x-y=25
60-y=25
y=60-25
y=35
=> x=60,y=35
Now the third angle = 180 -(x+y) = 180 - 95 = 85

So the angles of the triangle will be 60°,35°,85°
