The supplementary angle of 40 degree is

Given angle is 40 degree ,

Note:

Any two angles whose sum is 180degrees are called supplementary angles.

Each angle is a supplement to the other angle.

If x,y are supplementary angles then x+y=180 degrees .

So we get, y=180-x ( Here, y is called supplement of x )

or

x=180-y ( Here, x is called supplement of y )

Therefore,

Supplementary of 40 degrees =18040=140 degrees.

Hence, the answer is 140 degrees.
