Let the radius of the football be r. then its surface area will be 4πr2.

But it is given that, the surface area of football is equal to 616 mm2.

Hence,
616=4πr2
616=4×227×r2
(616×7)(4×22)=r2
431288=r2
49=r2
r=7 mm

Therefore, option B is correct.
