The surface area of a sphere of radius 5 cm is five times the area of the curved surface of a cone of radius 4 cm. Find the height of the cone.
Radius of a sphere (r)=5cm
∴Surface area=4πr2
=4π×5×5=100πcm2
Radius of cone (r1) = 4 cm
Curved Surface =100π5 cm2
=20π cm2
∴ Slant height(l)=Areaπr
=20ππ×4 = 5cm
Now height (h) =√l2−r2
=√(5)2−(4)2=√25−16 cm
√9=3 cm
