The surface of water in a water tank on the top of a house is 4 m above the tap level. Find the pressure of water at the tap when the tap is closed. Is it necessary to specify that the tap is closed? Takeg=10ms2.

P=Po+ρgh(103×10×4)=105N/m2+4×104N/m2=1.4×105pa=1.4bar

When tap is opened, then the pressure at tap is equal to the pressure of atmosphere. That is P=1bar
