The surface of water in a water tank on the top of a house is 4 m above the tap level. Find the pressure of water at the tap when the tap is closed. Is it necessary to specify that the tap is closed? Take g=10 ms2.

Water tank is 4m above the top level
we know that,
density of water (ρ)=1000kg/m3
acceleration due to the gravity (g)=10m/s2
height (h)=4m
we know pressure (P)=ρgh
P=1000×10×4N/m2
P=40000N/m2.

Hence the pressure is 40000N/m2
