Solution
A sweet tooth is consuming more food that is sweeter in taste.
“Sweet tooth may lead to tooth decay” means that when we have a sweet tooth we crave and eat a lot of sugary items which contain carbohydrates and this food gets stuck in our teeth and allows microorganisms to grow in our mouth which cause the pH to decreases, it becomes acidic which causes tooth decay.
Role of toothpaste in preventing cavities:
Cavities are caused because of bacteria and acids produced by the food especially the food which is sweeter in taste.
Toothpaste usually contains bases along with Flouride which helps in removing the bacteria.
After removing the food particles from the teeth toothpaste forms a layer that avoids cavities and protects from typical infections.
Some toothpaste even contains salts which help in removing stains from our teeth.
It helps in removing germs and bacteria from our teeth and makes them healthier and stronger.
Therefore, toothpaste plays a vital role in the prevention of cavities.
