The correct option is B Rs 240

Let the fixed charge be Rs X and the distance charge be Rs Y per km
$\therefore X+16Y=\mathrm{156....}\left(i\right)$
$X+24Y=\mathrm{204.....}\left(ii\right)$
We get from (i) and (ii); X = 60, Y = 6
$\therefore$ Cost to be paid for a distance of 30 kms
$=60+30Y$
$=60+30\times 6=Rs240$
