Taxi fare for first kilometer $=14$
Taxi fare for two kilometers $=14+2=16$
Taxi fare for three kilometres $=16+2=18$
And so on....
This forms an AP with first term $a=14$ and common difference $d=2$
We know
$a_n=a+(n-1)d$
$\Rightarrow a_{10}=14+(10-1)2$
$\Rightarrow a_{10}=14+18$
$\Rightarrow a_{10}=32$
