The technique of sterilizing a male by blocking the vas deferens is called
Vasectomy
Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilization and/or permanent contraception. During the procedure, vas deferens are cut and tied/sealed in a manner so as to prevent sperms from entering into the seminal stream (ejaculate). This prevents fertilization.
Tubectomy is the similar process in females. Hysterectomy is the removal of uterus.
