The temperature in fahrenheit scale is given by: "32 more than nine-fifth of the temperature in celcius". Frame an expression to validating the statement. Using the expression, convert 42° C in fahrenheit scale.

Let the temperature in celcius scale be C.
Nine-fifth of this temperature = 9C5
32 more than nine-fifth of this temperature = Temperature in fahrenheit (say F)
9C5+ 32 = F
Therefore, to convert a temperature in celcius scale to fahrenheit scale, we use the formula:
9C5+32 = F, where C and F are readings in celcius and fahrenheit scale respectively.When C = 42,
F = 9×425+32 F =107.6 F
