Solution

The correct option is B will increase by 1273 of its volume at 400C
Answer : B . will increase by 1273 of its volume at 273K

From Charle's law, at constant pressure, VT

Let us take,
V1 - volume at 40oC
V2 - volume at 41oC
T1 = 40oC=40+273K=313K
T2 = 41oC=41+273K=314K

Then,
V2V1=T2T1=314313
=>V2=314313V1

So, increase in volume is.
V2V1=314313V1V1=(3143131)V1=1313V1 ---------> ( 1 )

That is, volume will increase by, 1313 of V1 volume at 40oC. Therefore option C in INCORRECT.

To check whether option B is correct.
Let us take,
V3 - volume at 273K
T3 - 273K

Therefore, V1V3=T1T3=313273

=>V1=313273V3 -----------------> ( 2 )

Substitute equation ( 2 ) in ( 1 ) we get,

Increase in volume, V2V1=1313×313273V3=1273V3

That is, volume will increase by, 1273 of V3 - volume at 273K. Therefore option B in CORRECT.
