Solution

The correct option is C 20.3C
let m1=m2=m3=m
Let s1,s2,s3 be the respective specific heats of the three liquids.
When A and B are mixed, temperature of mixed = 16oC
A heat gained by A = heat lost by B
ms1(1612)=ms2(1916)
4s1=3s2.......(i)
When B and C are mixed , temperature of mixture=23oC.
As heat gained by B = heat lost by C,
ms2(2319)=ms3(2823)
4s2=5s3......(ii)
From (i) and (ii) , =34s2=1516s3
When A and C are mixed, suppose temperature of mixture=t
Heat gained by A = Heat lost by C
ms1(t12)=ms3(28t)
1516s2(t12)=s3(28t)
15t180=44816t
31t=448+180=628
t=6283=20.3oC
