Solution

The correct option is A DNA
The ribosomes are large and complex organelles, made up of rRNA and proteins, with a diameter of about 23 nm and a sedimentation coefficient of about 80S. They have two subunits, 60S and 40S. Ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis using the mRNA sequence as a template; ribosomes can not serve as the recipe for the construction of protein but just as a site for the same. Polysomes are multiple ribosomes attached to the mRNA bearing nascent growing polypeptide chains. All the ribosomes of a polysome translate single mRNA and produce many polypeptides simultaneously from a single mRNA. The rRNA are the structural and functional component of ribosomes. There are three types of rRNAs namely 16S, 5S and 23S. The first one is present in 30S subunit whereas last two are found in 50S subunit of ribosomes. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is a large, linear polymer in which sequence of the monomeric subunits, the deoxyribonucleotides, encodes the instructions for forming each enzyme. The sequence of the deoxyribonucleotides is transcribed into RNA which then serves as a template for protein/enzyme synthesis. The correct option is A.
