Solution

Sewage: The municipal waste or wastewater generated in homes and cities is called sewage, in which human excreta is the major component.

Sewers: A sewer is an underground pipe that carries sewage or transports the sewage from homes and commercial buildings to the sewage treatment plants, where the sewage can be treated.

Sewerage:

  1. A sewerage system is a system for wastewater collection.
  2. It is a network of pipes, and pumping stations, that convey sewage from its point of origin to the point of treatment and disposal.
  3. This system is applied in homes and buildings for the discharge of wastewater.

Interlinking of the terms sewage, sewers, and sewerage:

  1. The wastewater (sewage) released from homes, buildings, and hospitals are transported to the point of treatment by a network of small and big pipes (sewers) called sewerage.
  2. Thus terms sewage, sewers, and sewerage are interconnected.
