Solution

The correct option is A <
The given data is

Mean of test scores of student 1 = sum of all datanumber of data given

Sum of all data = 45 + 56 + 48 + 64 + 72 + 84 + 62 + 77

= 508

Number of data given = 8

Mean of test scores of student 1 = 5088

= 63.5

Mean of test scores of student 2 = sum of all datanumber of data given

Sum of all data = 48 + 58 + 67 + 81 + 76 + 82 + 62 + 78
= 552

Number of data given = 8

Mean of test scores of student 2 = 5528
= 69

Hence, the mean of test scores of student 1 is less than the mean of test scores of student 2.
