In a box and whisker plot, the range is the difference of the maximum and the minimum values from the plot, which are the endpoints of the whiskers.



In the given box and whisker plot,

the minimum and maximum scores for student 1 are 10 and 90, and for the student 2, 40 and 100.

Hence, range of test scores of students 1= Maximum value - Minimum value

= 90 - 10 = 80

For student 2,

Range = 100 - 40

= 60.

Hence, the range of two data set are 80 and 60.
