Let r1 and r2 be the external and internal radii of the hollow cylinder and h be its height.
Given that, r1+r2=14cm.
Thickness of the hollow cylinder, (r1r2)=6cm
Total surface area of the cylinder =1760cm2
2π(r1+r2)h+2π(r21r22)=1760
2π[(r1+r2)h+(r1+r2)(r1r2)]=1760
2×227×14(h+6)=1760
88(h+6)=1760
h+6=20
h=14cm
Therefore, the height of the cylinder is 14 cm.
Hence, the correct answer is option (d).
