Let the common ratio be r and the terms be a,ar,ar2,ar3,ar4 and so on in G.P.

Also, given that the third term is 4.

ar2=4 ...(1)

Therefore, the product of the first five term is given by,

aarar2ar3ar4=a5r10

aarar2ar3ar4=(ar2)5

From equation (1), substitute ar2=4; we get

aarar2ar3ar4=45

Thus, the product of the first five term is 45.
