From, Einstein's photo electric equation,

hν=hν0+12mv2

when, ν1=2ν0

hν1=hν0+12mv21

2h ν0hν0=12 mv21

hν0=12 mv21 ......(1)

When, ν2=4ν0

hν2=hν0+12 mv22

4hν0hν0=12 mv22

3hν0=12mv22 .......(2)

From (1) and (2) we get,

3hν0hν0=12 mv2212mv21

v22v21=3

v2=3v1

v2=43×106 ms1
