# The tops of two poles of height $$16\ m$$ and $$10\ m$$ are connected by a wire of length $$l$$ metres. If the wire makes an angle of $$30^{o}$$ with the horizontal then find $$l$$.

## Let $$AE$$ be a pole of $$10\ m$$ and $$BD$$  be the another pole of $$16\ m$$ and $$DE$$ be the wire.From the figure,$$CD=16-10=6\ m$$Now,In $$\triangle CDE$$,$$\sin30^\circ=\dfrac{CD}{DE}$$$$DE=2\times 6=12\ m.$$Hence, this is the answer.Mathematics
