The torque acting on a current carrying loop is given by, τ=μ×B ....(1)

From the figure,

μ=μ1+μ2=Ia2(^i)+Ia2^j

μ=Ia2(^j^i)

Given, B=B0(^i^j)

Using the equation (1),

τ=Ia2(^j^i)×B0(^i^j)

=Ia2B0[(^j×^i)+(^j×(^j))(^i×^i)+(^i×^j)]

=Ia2B0[^k+0+0+^k]

=0

Hence, option (c) is the correct answer.
