The total energy E possessed by a body of mass 'm', moving with a velocity 'v' at a height 'h' is given by : $E = \frac{1}{2} m v^{2} + m g h .$ Find m, if $v = 3, g = 10, h = 5$ and $E = 109$

Given $v = 3, g = 3, h = 5, a n d E = 109$

$E = \frac{1}{2} m v^{2} + m g h$

Putting values given

$109 = \frac{1}{2} m (3^{2}) + m (10) (5)$

$218 = 9 m + 100 m$
$109 m = 218$
$m = 2 k g$
