Solution

The correct option is B Section B
There are 70 students in Section A who enjoy maths.
Total number of students in section A
= 100
Fraction of students who like maths in section A = 70100
Converting 70100 into decimal by long division,

we get the quotient 0.7

Similarly, for section B, 65 out of 90 students like maths.
Fraction of student who like maths in section A = 6590
Converting 6590 into decimal by long division,we get the quotient 0.7222.. It is a non-terminating and repeating decimal number. It is written as 0.7¯2.

As 0.7¯2 is greater than 0.7, we can infer that section B has higher proportion of students who like maths.
