Solution

The correct option is A Presence of pitted end wall
During secondary growth, deposition of lignin covers the whole primary cell wall, except at gaps termed as pit-pairs. The pit pairs represent the small regions of un-lignified primary wall from two adjacent cells and are concentrated at end walls between cells, forming a pitted region called as pitted end walls which are absent in vessels.
Tracheids show unequal cell wall thickening making the walls thick at some places and thin at others. Vessels show lesser cell wall thickening and have greater diameter than tracheids.
Tracheids have larger pits in lesser number while vessels have small pits in greater number.
Both vessels and tracheids show deposition of lignin in the form of complete spiral bands or in form of transverse rods of the ladder called as calariform thickening.
Thus, the correct answer is option C.
