Solution

The correct option is B 2:1
Let, E1 and E2 be the emf's of two cells, l1 and l2 be
the balancing lengths obtained for two cells respectively.
When the cells support each other,
E1+E2=l1+l2..........................(El)
When the cells oppose each other,
E1E2=l1l2
But, l1+l2=150cm...............................(1)
and l1l2=50cm....................................(2)
From (1) and (2), we get,
2l1=200cm
l1=100cm
Using this in (1), we get,
l2=50cm
Thereore,
l1l2=10050=21
