Solution

The correct option is B 15 m/s

Given that,

Velocity of A=20 m/s

Velocity of B=VB m/s

According to diagram

Velocity of A along X axis towards B is

VAX=VAcos530

VAX=20cos530

VAX=20×35

VAX=12m/s....(I)

Now, velocity of B along X axis towards A is

VBX=VBcos370

VBX=VB×3.955

VBX=VB×45....(II)

Now, from equation (I) and (II)

12=VB×45

VB=604

VB=15m/s

Hence, the velocity VB is 15 m/s
