Let sinθ+sin(3π2θ)=sinθcosθ=a

and

Let cosθcos(3π2θ)=cosθ+sinθ=b

Hence

c2=a2+b2 ... by Pythagoras theorem.
c2=(sinθcosθ)2+(sinθ+cosθ)2

c2=2(sin2θ+cos2θ)

Thus

c2=2
