Open in App
Solution

T cells are responsible for cell mediated immunity. There are two types of T cells - T killer and helper T cells, each having specific functions. T helper cells assist in the active immune response by activating other immune cells, and also present antigens to B cells. T killer cells are involved in destruction of virus-infected cells and tumour cells, and are involved in transplant rejection.
