Given:
Total time t=1.8 s.
Speed of the sound v=336 ms1.
Here t is the total time taken for the sound to hit the target and come back to the source.
The distance x of the target from the source is half of the total distance travelled by the sound wave which is 2x.
Distance x is given by
x=v×t2
Substituting values:
x=v×t2=336×1.82 = 604.82=302.4 m
Therefore, the distance of mosquito from the bat is 302.4 m.
