The composition of the Security Council.

The Security Council is the executive body of the UN. It is composed of fifteen member nations. The USA, Russia, England, France and China are its permanent members. The other ten non-permanent members are elected by the General Assembly by a two-third majority for a term of two years. Each member of the Council has one vote.
