The dissolved oxygen used by the aquatic animals for respiration. The fertilizer decreases the quantity/ amount of dissolved oxygen and the quality of water.

Fertilizers are also harmful to these aquatic animals and also increase the temperature of the water with some chemical and biological changes in water causes water pollution.
