The correct option is D y=10x+70
Let x be the number of weeks and y be the value of the share in dollars.
When x=0,y=10 and x=3,y=40
Slope=change in y-coordinatechange in x-coordinate=401030=303=10
Rate of increase in the weekly value of the share = slope = $ 10 per week

Rate of decline in the weekly value of the share = rate of increase in the weekly value of the share =$ (10) per week
Slope of decline=10

The equation for the declining line follows y=mx+b
y=10x+b........(1)

(3,40) lies on the declining line.
Substituting x=3,y=40 in equation (1), we get
40=10x3+b
40=30+b
b=40+30
b=70

Hence, the equation for the rate of decline in the weekly value of the share
y=10x+70
