Given: p, q are the roots of the equation x2+px+q=0

Now,

sum of roots=coefficient of xcoefficient of x2

p+q=p

q=2p (1)

Product of roots=constant termcoefficient of x2

pq=q

p=1 (2)

From (1) and (2), we get

p=1, q=2
