The correct option is B 2(1+3) KΩ
This is an infinite grid of resistance repeating itself.

Here A is equvalent to C & B is equivalent to D.

So, if (Req) A & B is X, then
(Req) between C & D must also be X

We can accordingly reduce the circuit as shown below,


X=2R+RXR+X

RX+X2=2R2+3RX

X22RX2R2=0

X=2R±4R2+8R22

X=2R+R122

X=(1+3)R KΩ

X=(1+3)2 KΩ

Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.
