the value of g is 9.8 m/s2 . suppose earth suddenly shrinks to 1/3 of its size without losing mass. What is the value of g on the surface of earth.

Dear Student,

The acceleration due to gravity remains same if Earth shrinks without losing its mass and also, the distance of the point from the centre of earth does not change.

But if the distance of the point from the centre of earth shrinks to 1/3 then acceleration due to gravity will be 9 times of the present one.
