The correct option is B negative
As the earth always pulls an object towards it, the force of gravity is always towards the earth. But since the body is moving vertically upward in this case, the velocity and hence, the acceleration of the body will be in upward direction, i.e in the opposite direction to the force of gravity and so, it will be taken as negative.
