The correct option is B 6 ohm
The diagram shows that if voltage of 3V is applied to the bulb, it consumes 0.5W of power.
Its resistance can be calculated as follows
P=V2Rb Rb=V2P=18Ω
Total current passing through the entire circuit is
I=60.5+4+Rp
Voltage across bulb is same as that across the parallel combination
3=6Rp0.5+4+Rp

6Rp=(3×4.5)+3Rp

Rp=4.5Ω

We know that Rp=R×RbR+Rb
4510=18R18+R
92=18R18+R
12=2R18+R

18+R=4R R=6Ω
