The correct option is A $- 8, 1$
$x^{2 / 3} + x^{1 / 3} - 2 = 0$
or $m^{2} + m - 2 = 0$ , where $m = x^{1 / 3}$
or $(m + 2) (m - 1) = 0$
$∴ m = - 2$ or $m = 1$
i.e., $x^{1 / 3} = - 2$ or $x^{1 / 3} = 1$
$∴ x = 1$ or-8
