Based on the change in temperature two types of changes take place in a substance

  1. Endothermic change 2) Exothermic change
  • Those changes in which a substance gets energy in the form of heat from its surroundings and changes into different substances are called endothermic changes.
  • For example vaporization of water, in this case, water absorbs heat energy from the surroundings and forms water vapor.
  • So the vaporization of water is an endothermic change.
