The correct option is B 4 m/s
Given:
ti=t0; vi=10 m/s
tf=(t0+5) s; vf=20 m/s

Let a be the constant acceleration of given motion.

As we know that,

a=vfvitfti=2010(t0+5t0)=2 m/s2

Let vb be the velocity of particle 3 s before t0.

Now applying first equation of motion,

v=u+at

here, u=vb; v=10 m/s; t=3 s

10=vb+(2×3)

vb=4 m/s

Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.
