We know that Refractive index of medium A =VVA

where, V is the speed in vacuum

and VA is the speed in medium A.

Refractive index of medium A w.r.t B is given by,

μAB=μAμB=VBVA

Speed of light in glass, Vg=2×108 m/s

Speed of light in liquid Vl=2.5×108 ms1

So, Refractive index of liquid w.r.t glass

μlg=VgVl=2×108 ms12.5×108 ms1=22.5=0.8

So, the statement is true.
