The vertices of a triangle are A(-4,2),B(-2,2) and C(-3,4). Rotate the triangle as described. Find the coordinates of the image.

Find the coordinates of image after rotation.

Given, coordinates are A(-4,2),B(-2,2) and C(-3,4).

Since, we know that rotation of 270° clockwise about the origin then coordinates changes as:

A(x,y)=A'(-y,x)

Using the above criteria of rotation of 270° clockwise about the origin.

New coordinates will be,

A(-4,2)=A'(-2,-4)B(-2,2)=B'(-2,-2)C(-3,4)=C'(-4,-3)

Hence, the coordinates of image after rotation are A'(-2,-4),B'(-2,-2) and C'(-4,-3).
