We can define viscosity as the resistance to flow. For liquids, the larger the intermolecular forces higher the viscosity. Glycol has maximum viscosity because it has two −OH groups and there is greater intermolecular H−bonding in comparison to water and ethanol, while acetone does not have any hydrogen bonding between the molecules.
