The volume of a cuboid is 1536 cube m. Its length is 16 m, and its breadth and height are in the ratio 3:2. Find the breadth and height of the cuboid.

Given,

Volume = lbh = 1536 m3

Length = 16m

Let breadth = 3x and height = 2x

Volume of a cuboid = lbh (0.5 Marks)

1536 = 16*3x*2x

1536 = 96x2

x2 = 16

x = 4 m (0.5 Marks)

Therefore,

Breadth = 3x = 3*4 m = 12 m (0.5 Marks)

Height = 2x = 2*4 m = 8 m (0.5 Marks)
