The volume of a cuboid is 1536 cube m. Its length is 16 m, and its breadth and height are in the ratio 3:2. Find the breadth and height of the cuboid.
(2 Marks)
Given,
Volume = lbh = 1536 m3
Length = 16m
Let breadth = 3x and height = 2x
Volume of a cuboid = lbh (0.5 Marks)
1536 = 16*3x*2x
1536 = 96x2
x2 = 16
x = 4 m (0.5 Marks)
Therefore,
Breadth = 3x = 3*4 m = 12 m (0.5 Marks)
Height = 2x = 2*4 m = 8 m (0.5 Marks)
