Given, volume of the right circular cone =9856cm3 and diameter of the base =28cm.
Then, radius of the base =14cm.

According to the given condition,
Volume of cone V=13πr2h=9856
13×227×142×h=9856h=48cm.
We know that, l2=r2+h2
l2=142+482=196+2304=2500l=50cm.

Now, CSA of cone =πrl=227×14×50=2200cm2.

Hence, option D is correct.
