The water in a cubical tank of side 10m is transferred to completely fill a cuboidal tank of length 5m and breadth 10m and height 'h' m. The height of the cuboidal tank (in metres) is ___
20 m
Volume of a cube = (side)3
Volume of a cuboid = (length) × (breadth) × (height)
In this case Volume of the cube = Volume of the cuboid
So height of the cuboidal tank can be found by equating the two
∴(side)3=length×breadth×height
∴(10)3=5×10×height
=1035×10
∴ Height = 20m
