The water kept in a pitcher or earthen pots doesn't become colder in rainy season than in summer. Why?

Solution

Dear Student, Earthen pot has small holes in it, water evaporates through heat energy taken by the water itself. So, water of earthen pot is cool. Evaporation decreases, if large amount of moisture is already present in the atmosphere. In rainy season, humidity or moisture is already present in the atmosphere which causes less evaporation. In summers there is little moisture so rate of evaporation is high and hence water in earthen pot is cooler in summers. Regards
